ArtBooks : The Art of Surf's Up / The Art of Robots

Two very good Artbooks going at $30 each or buy both for $50 :) You won't get a deal better than this. They served me well that's why they are used. They are in good condition because they are loved.
If you are an art or animation student, this book will benefit you greatly. If you are a collector, this will be a nice addition to your collection :)
The Art of Surf's Up
It's a hardcover book that's housed in a plastic cover. Glorious illustrations, character designs, story boards and 3D renders fill the pages. Story boards are beautifully painted. There plenty of penguin character designs and they look great. The book's layout is beautiful, very much like magazine style, and each page has plenty of interesting stuff to see. I like that the use of brush strokes on the page layouts that give it a very energetic feel. Commentary are short and interesting to read. This is one of the better 3D animation art books.

The Art of Robots
My biggest problem with "Art of" books is when they show too much finished film imagery. Why would I buy a book with the same images from the movie? I want to know where the film came from, not where it ended up. Art of Robots shines in this respect. In only a few places will you find actual images of the finished CG renders. The rest are raw, traditional works of art that give valuable clues into the films development. I especially like the pages that show a painted character and the photographs used to reference their color and texture for the film. Great information on the film-making process at Blue Sky.
